Do I have to meet the targets set in my business plan submitted to the IRCC as part of my ICT application package? What if my company is unable to meet the objectives set out in the business plan?

A business plan is not a binding agreement. While business owners should strive to achieve the goals set in the plan, they will not be held accountable if they fail to meet the targets set out in the original business plan. A business plan is a document that demonstrates that feasibility research has been completed before expansion to Canada and that entrepreneurs have a solid understanding of the market and competition in Canada. It is not mandatory to submit a business plan with your application for an ICT WP. However, we recommend having a business plan if your company in Canada has recently been established or it is your first ICT application.
