The duration of the work permit will be aligned with the contract or duration specified in the offer of
employment. The officer will assesses the length of time the foreign worker is required and issue the
work permit for that length of time or until the expiry of the foreign nationals passport whichever comes
first. If there is no end date to the duration of the intended employment, officers may issue a work
permit that is valid for up to two years or until the expiry of the travel document, whichever is earlier.
